“We really like the size. Fishburne has a family atmosphere. It feels like a community. I feel like I can participate, like I have access.”
— FMS PARENT
“My son already wants to go to 7-day boarding. And he’s only a week in!”
— FMS PARENT
“I like the idea of boys being around boys in adolescence. Some are just not ready to be one big pack with boys and girls, like they are today.”
— FMS PARENT
“I had no qualms at all about it being all male. And if you want to know my personal preference, I would prefer it to be that way.”
— FMS PARENT
“My son loves the place. So I told him, okay, remember this feeling so when you graduate and are successful, you can pay it forward by donating to the school.”
— FMS PARENT
“We believe in public schools. And we support our public schools. It just was not right for our son.”
— FMS PARENT
“We’ll likely go to full board next year. He likes to be there on the weekends.”
— FMS PARENT
“I think that people perceive the ‘structure’ of military school as punitive and miss the potential benefits of such an environment. I think that people think that kids are ‘sent’ to military school.”
— FMS PARENT
